Although an elementary teacher by trade, Wendy Cannon has found her passion in the world of watercolors. Wendy is mostly self-taught in the watercolor medium, however she has taken several workshops and classes. Stained glass and mural painting are other areas in which Wendy dabbles. She recently painted a mural in the entrance of Fairfield Elementary School, which the children enjoy. Wendy is a member of Saco Bay Artists.

Wendy lives in Southern, Maine with her husband, two children and three cats, all of whom have been pressed into service as subjects of her paintings. The use of vibrant colors in her landscapes is a hallmark of Wendy ’s work. Her pet portraits capture the lively “ personality ” of each animal, and she paints the shoreline near her home expressing the spirit of the beaches.
